Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Client Success, the Content Writer/Manager will lead the content production process for our client’s copy. You will be responsible for managing the written content production process.  Roughly 50% of the time you will be writing copy and 50% you will be working closely with other writers and team members.  This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills.

 

This role is at the core of the content production team and others will rely on your work every single day.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Develop clear and engaging content that is consistent with the client’s brand image and addresses both business goals and consumer needs.
  • Create, adjust, and manage the client’s editorial calendar.
  • Write and support a mix of primarily web copy (product pages), resource copy (blogs, eBooks, etc.), and sales copy 
  • Perform research and interviews to gain in-depth knowledge of the client’s target customer personas.
  • Support content governance guidelines for client brands including tone, style, and voice of all content.
  • Create messaging and content for websites, blogs, presentations, emails, and social posts.
  • Delegate tasks and provide feedback to writers, editors, and designers.
  • Collaborate with client subject matter experts, product marketers, and internally with the Client Success Manager and Head of Strategy to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and the target audience.
  • Be a champion for content’s role in achieving client growth goals by participating in client meetings

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B and/or B2C communications; an agency background is preferred.
  • Experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, pitch decks, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • A desire and demonstrated ability to not write typical marketing jargon.

Nice to haves.

  • Knowledge and interest in the sustainable and clean technology industry
  • Experience performing content audits to assess how well existing content is performing.
  • Experience creating a cross-platform content strategy.
  • HubSpot experience
  • Ability to analyze a content marketing strategy to evaluate whether it's working or not.
  • Basic understanding of SEO best practices

 

Salary range 65k-75k
